Hm

you’re in a runabout in synchronous orbit around romulus, the captain is down on the surface, and the transporters are malfunctioning. four warbirds decloak, lock onto your position and power up their weapons. you personally are a mouse in the cargo bay, WHAT DO YOU DO??

The Four Hour Work Week book is awfully good. Lots of interesting thoughts in there.

One of my takeaways is to align how my time is spent with my goals in life. I spend an awful lot of time reading the news and websites and blogs. However, my goal of “keeping up to date on tons of topcs” is pretty low on the priority list, but I spend probably the most time on it.

So, I’m going to try to not surf the internet and read RSS feeds much anymore. I’ve had to slap my hands every time I’ve typed in “reader.google.com” and “cnn.com” the past few days. I can’t help typing those words into Firefox, it’s second nature to me.

Time to make my new favorite breakfast. Procedure:

  • Get 1/2 cup oatmeal and mix with 1 cup water into a large bowl (large!). Throw in microwave for three minutes.
  • While that is going, crack open 3 eggs and mix them. Start stove (on 5 heat) and pan. Add milk and put eggs in pan. Scramble for a little bit.
  • Take oatmeal out of microwave. Add 2 scoops peanut butter.
  • Scramble eggs a little bit more. Add oregano and basil.
  • Wait for eggs to finish. Put eggs onto plate.
  • Add 1 or 2 scoops chocolate protein powder to oatmeal. The oatmeal needs to cool a little bit. Also add a little bit of splenda.

Serve! This will give you a ton of fiber, protein, and a little bit of fat to keep you energized and full for quite a while. And it takes, oh 8 minutes to prepare from start to finish. The oatmeal is all chocolately and peanut-buttery too! I like this kind of chocolate protein powder.

It becomes an game of “kick the ball at the girl(s) who can’t catch”.

I like playing on teams where most of the people are of equal skill. It’s not as much fun when you have a couple really weak players that the other time tries to exploit. And it feels cheap when you try to exploit the weaker players on the other team.
