Say you eat something that contains a cup or two of sugar.

You’d probably get sick. And probably fairly quickly. Why? I’m curious as to how your body decides when you’ve done something dumb and how it signals that you should vomit.

warning, geeks only

This is awesome. Quit Hacking Our Computers!!! Or I’ll call the FBI!

I recently got a Dell e1505 laptop. It’s very nice. Fast and everything, and the screen is great. There’s a review of it here.

I’ve got Ubuntu Linux running on it and it’s great so far.

Blood can be drawn, but death is really unlikely.

I’m about to find out. Hooray for the MythBuster’s TV show.

As a couple people have inquired, this is what we got at a recent auction: http://sacajawea.maestroweb.com/Details.aspx?OrgID=287&ItemID=406&selection=29

I’m on vacation, and it is great!

My wife’s school held an auction last night. It was pretty fun. Good food and drinks, and lots of good stuff for sale. They raised $118,000, which funds some cultural program or something.

For our part, we bought:
  • Magic the Gathering cards (no clue why)
  • A non-man laptop bag, apparently girls can carry this bag but the other laptop bag we have is a man laptop bag, which girls cannot carry.
  • Dog walk by kindergarteners.
  • A week in Paris! We’ll go during winter break.

And Jessa’s swim lessons went for a couple hundred dollars.

I had an out-of-state friend come up and stay with me for the weekend. Pretty fun time. We and ate lots of food. We all went out to a couple of bars, including a karaoke bar. I got to see my wife sing Lucky by Britney Spears in exchange for me shaving off my mustache.

So now, my upper lip is all cold and stuff. :-(

In other news, karaoke is a hard word to spell.
