I think I went through (or am going through) a quarter-life crisis. First time I’d heard of those to.
The solution: go outside more. The problem: I don’t like being uncomfortable. It rains a lot, my feet hurt, I get cold or hot. I’m just a huge baby.
So, I decided to do it right and buy all the proper outside backpacking and hiking gear. So far, I’ve got:
- an internal frame backpack
- backpacking shoes
- the socks (liner and outside)
- water purifier
- couple more nalgene bottles
- first aid kit—has a ton of stuff in it
- water-proof matches and those firecubes things
- rain coat and pants
- long fancy underwear
- fancy boxers
- poly/nylon pants
- water-proof ponchos
- two whistle/compass combinations
- bear-proof food container
And we already have car camping stuff, like tents, sleeping pads and bags, etc.
Hopefully having the right stuff will let me enjoy hiking and camping and being outside more.
